We are committed to minimizing our impact on the global eco-system, and to that end we use paper that is at least 10% post-consumer recycled content.
We are as efficient as possible, using our website to show the full breadth of product we offer. This allows us to limit the number of pages we print.
PEFC Certification
Only well-managed forests provide our paper, and they are always PEFC members. The Programme for the Endorsement of First Certification is the world's largest forest certification system. They assure us, through their rigorous assessment process, that the stock we print on is created only with materials from forests that have a transparent chain of custody…meaning, we know everywhere the raw material has been and how it's been handled. Also, member systems are reviewed regularly to be sure that they incorporate new scientific knowledge into their processes.
Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)
SFI is one of the certification standards that PEFC endorses. Under mutual agreements between them, any wood fiber that comes from SFI-certified lands can be tracked, documented and certified to the PEFC chain of custody standard. This assures us that none of our fibers include raw material from controversial sources.
As a result of these exacting practices and standards, you can be sure that the fibers used in our catalog pages come only from responsibly managed sources.
